Intel NIC X540-T1 non funzionale in Ubuntu Server 12.04

Ho installato tre Intel X540-T1 nei server che eseguono Ubuntu Server 12.04, ma sono tutti non funzionali, nessuna luci di collegamento, nessun pacchetto inviato o ricevuto e nessuna connessione su ip4 o ip6 se configurato come dhcp o statico. Inoltre, dmesg non rileva la connessione o la disconnessione via cavo.

Ho aggiornato il driver ixgbe predefinito alla versione più recente di Intel (3.11.33) senza modifiche. Il controller di ethernet viene segnalato come X540-AT2 (che potrebbe essere un problema che non riesco a capire come risolvere), ma il sottosistema è X540-T1, quindi credo che potrebbe essere previsto.

Qualcuno ha alcuna esperienza con questo che potrebbe aiutare?
